As an organist, Tom Colao has a breadth of experience as a recitalist, choral accompanist, and leader of congregational song. Recent recital offerings have included music of J.S. Bach, Maurice Duruflé, Sir Edward Elgar, Max Reger, and Marcel Dupré, among others. As a choral accompanist, he is inspired by the massive expressive capabilities of the instrument, and its potential to effectively support choral singing with a maximum variety of color and dynamic range. As a church musician and worship leader, he relishes his responsibility to draw congregations more deeply into corporate worship, using the full potential of the organ to effectively lead worshippers in song, while effectively illuminating text and tune through careful selection of registration and harmony. Below, you will find video, audio, and photo samples of his recent work.
